4.5* hotel Elefant is a striking addition to Riga's hotel scene that once visited you will never forget. The hotel opened in 2008 and used exclusively Latvian designers. It is located in the up-and-coming Kalnciema district. The hotel has a strong modern Asian influence, not least the use of the elephant motive - evident in the 6m elephant in the hotel restaurant - and has used natural materials combined with subtle lighting throughout.
